Incorrect configuration file

I have the Arris S33v3 currently installed with Gigabit internet,,the event log shows there is a incorrect configuration file along with multiple RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power ,,,,,,,,issues as well. In reading several other posts on this forum it seems to be a problem , the S33v3 needs the correct file so it actually knows what to do. Rebooting it does zero, the entries are still there. Would it be asking too much to have Xfinity correct this or do I have to escalate it to a higher authority to get things fixed right.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out.

I can definitely understand your concern, especially since you’ve already rebooted the Arris S33v3 and continue to see the Incorrect Configuration File and RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power messages. We don’t want to have you repeating steps that haven’t resolved the issue. We’d be happy to take a closer look at the connection and provisioning information available to us and determine what needs to happen next. Along with the event-log messages, are you experiencing any actual service symptoms such as dropped connections, slow speeds, packet loss, or unexpected modem reboots?

Absolutely @user_xxlt6b! Are the configuration file and commanded power issues causing intermittent connections, slow speeds, or packet loss?

Packet loss,,intermittent freezing of some channels on the tv,,the internet is where all this is sourced.

I do know the RNG-RSP Commanded Power 6dB issues likely stem from the wrong type of RG6 cable being used for the drop. I did say a bit ago that the cable that is being used for the drop is a ( indoor rated only) not one that should be used outside.
