Intermittent Internet Outages

I've been having internet outages for about a week now. Every time I contact support I get a different response which has so far included the following.

- You might have bad cables

- We need to send a tech

- You need to replace your modem every 2 years, let us sell you one on a 5 year plan

- Try a different power source

- Try a different connection in your house

Regardless of what Comcast says, I usually just wait and the internet magically starts working again even though the setup has remained the same. Since I refuse to use comcast equipment, I purchased a new modem and installed it last night. Comcast support had problems activating it so I moved to a different location in my house and completed the setup myself through the app. Everything was working so I thought maybe there is a problem with my original port but when I woke up, the internet was not working again. I'm at a loss at this point with Comcast. I've wasted too much time and money trying to fix this. I have a tech coming later today but knowing my luck, the internet will magically start working when they arrive, they'll leave, and I'll be back in the same boat tomorrow.
