Intermittent Internet - Post Storm with downed wires

We have been having horrible intermittent internet issues ever since a snow storm late December 2023 and have had 2 maybe 3 techs come out. The last tech was extremely helpful and changed the wiring outside and we moved where we had our modem plugged into, and for a little bit it seemed to drop 25% less than before but is still dropping 12-30 times a day. Any advice on a way to solve this would be greatly appreciated! I work from home so dealing with this is extremely frustrating.

First. Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, as a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

Thank you for your response! I should have noted this earlier we tried hard wiring my work laptop and our personal desktop and they also experienced same issue. When both techs came out they saw that it would stop and restart (whole process from when it cuts out til its back takes anywhere from 3-10 mins usually 6) and they could see that happening and couldn’t explain why it was happening. The strength overall they said was good when it was working but would cut in and out

You're welcome ! OK what do the modem's signal status values look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem / gateway device ?
