Intermittent Internet

My internet has been having issues since at least yesterday. Yesterday every couple of minutes it would lag out, ping would go crazy and upload would go to nothing. Couldn't even open a speedtest page reliably, and then recover for a couple of minutes before starting over again. Today its happening again except its random all the time, like every 30seconds to a minute it will go to [Edited: "Language"]. Restarted modem and router, neither of those are the issue. There is work being done outside on the street but there is no announced work for Comcast.

As a second thing, I believe network upgrades happened in my area several months ago. I  believe I was told if my upload didn't improve to 100mbps that I might need my settings file to be reloaded.

@user_5b5bti Thanks for adding a post to the community. Good job performing the reboots. They can help with clearing up basic concerns quickly. We also have more in depth troubleshooting steps here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/internet-connectivity-troubleshooting. Those and the Xfinity Assistant will help ensure the connection is stable again.

Hi Benny,

My internet stabilized the following days, I will keep an eye on it.

I would still need to have someone check about updating my configuration files in order to get the new higher 100mbit upload. I received the email already months ago about work being done in my area to do the upgrades for it. I have tried restarting the modem several times, but that didn't trigger the change so per the forum the comments indicated to post here to ask for someone to review. How do we proceed? Thanks
