Is / are the light / lights on the modem lit steadily or are they blinking ? If lit steadily, did you get the device activated for service yet?

We appreciate you reaching out here on the community forums, user_ouuyvn! When you say you got a new internet box, is this a rented modem from Xfinity or is this a modem you purchased? Also, were you able to connect to the internet without an issue prior to replacing the device?
