Internet Connection is terrible
Hello all~
I have the Xfinity router that was provided and am hard wired into it. I pay for up to 2000mbs as I work from home and do a lot of upload/download plus my boyfriend and I play a lot of video games.
I cannot stream a video on youtube and play an online game at the same time. When I do speed tests, I barely can get 800 mbs with nothing running on my computer. On top of this, it constantly micro disconnects.
My port forwarding doesn't work either.
I've hard reset the router multiple times and it does nothing.
I have no VPNs running, I barely allow Windows Defender to touch much.
I do not want to have a service that does not work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi there and welcome to Comcast @Zparrow. I am sorry to hear that you are having troubles with our Internet service. You are in the right place and we are happy to assist you today. I am glad to see that you do not have a VPN connected, as I know that sometimes VPN can slow your speeds. Have you tried to release and renew your IP address on the computer you are having troubles with? I have seen issues with speeds and connectivity get fixed by doing the steps on this link Release and renew your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
