Internet Connection is Unstable

My internet connection keeps dropping and/or slowing down many times per day. This started happening about a month ago and occurs to all devices in the house. We've done nothing different as far as activity goes.

I've searched through many of the internet connection problems on this forum and haven't seen many solutions. Two techs have been out to check on things without success. I've replaced my XB8 modem twice in the past month.

Any help diagnosing the issue would be much appreciated. See below for logs and screenshots of upstream/downstream. Thank you.

Ok...here's what I did to restore stability. So far, I've gone from multiple disconnects per hour with 2-3 devices connected to 2 drops in 8 hours with 20 devices connected and either playing video games or streaming shows (I've been trying to stress test the connection).

I lowered my downstream power from around 8-9 on average to 1-2 initially by adding a -6dBmV attenuator at the modem's coaxial connection. The upstream power went too high after doing that, so I removed a 2-way splitter and connected the two cables via a connector to lower the upstream power. The result was a downstream power of 4-6 and an upstream of 47-50 with a return to what I consider stability.

In the future, you can use what is called a "forward path-only" attenuator.

pad such as this one;

https://www.amazon.com/line-Signal-Forward-Attenuator-FPA6-54/dp/B07882H96R

For areas that have been upgraded to the new Next Gen (mid-split) upload speeds;

https://www.multicominc.com/product/multicom-mul-fpa85-forward-path-attenuator

These will knock down the downstream power level without affecting the upload power.

Hi there, @user_0rkjij I'm very sorry for the trouble that you are having with your connection. Are you experiencing the issue while you are hardwired directly into the modem or while you are on Wifi?-Richard

Hi XfinityRichard,

This occurs when I'm on wi-fi. The location of the modem doesn't make it suitable for hardwiring.
