Internet keeps dropping

wifi keeps dropping for about 10-15 seconds at a time, every few minutes for the past 6 weeks. Started after a storm caused electricity to go out for a few hours, after the electricity came back on the wifi started experiencing problems and has been persistent since.   When the wifi is functioning the speeds are fast. Xfinity techs have been here at least five times and have had us change modem and routers twice and they have changed both inside and outside cables and none of this has made any difference.  We need to see what else xfinity can do at this point as streaming live tv or listening to music over wifi is impossible. Thanks

user_pgyjk0 Thanks for reaching out! Have you go through the following troubleshooting steps to help identify any issues at your location?

We have done this multiple times, we have changed modem, routers. Xfinity has changed cable lines. But the wifi signal drops for a few seconds frequently throughout the day. It makes it almost impossible to watch live TV or listen to live music. It has to be something outside the house that Xfinity has not addressed and we don't seem to be able to get anyone to address the issue

Thank you for confirming that @user_pgyjk0 and we appreciate the time you have put in troubleshooting and replacing your equipment. Let's check your signal levels and see if we need to get a tech out to investigate the lines outside of your home. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address?

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
