Internet out due to Hurricane Helene trying to connect to Xfinity Hotspot

Our internet is out due to Hurricane Helene and Xfinity said they have activated their hotspots and as long as you have power you will be able to connect to these hotspots. We have power but every time I go to wifi to select the xfinitywifi it just spins and I never get a log in screen. Is it issues on my end or this because the hurricane also blocked the hotspot from working in my area?
