iphone not connecting to xfi pods

Our iphone 15 and 16 suddenly stopped connecting to pods but other iphones and ipads will. The only way to connect is to forget the network and re-enter the password. I have had two technicians out and hours on chat with no help.  any solutions to this issue?

If you have an XB8 modem, it’s automatic once you activate the xFi Pod. If you have an XB7, same, but it’s only two bands instead of three.

I do have the XB8. I followed the resolution exactly and the iPhone 15 pro is now connecting but the iPhone 16 pro still will not connect automatically to the pods.  Any other suggestions?

That’s a definite improvement!

You could try completely resetting the network settings on the iPhone 16 Pro.

Also, do you have WiFi 6E enabled on the iPhones?

Awesome! Glad I could help. If you don’t mind, and have a minute, mark my post as the Accepted Solution, so that others having similar issues find it.

Done.  Now I just have to fight with Xfinity for charging me $100 to send a technician that had no idea how to solve the problem, and told me to buy new pods that cost $200!

@user_323c89

Sadly, our  15 and 16 iphones again started dropping and not connecting to the xfi pods.  It worked a couple of days but back to same issue.  The only way to connect is to forget the network and re-enter the password, every time we move around the house.  I am now going to look for other brands of modem/router and extenders that are compatible with Xfinity and newer iphones.  Any suggestions or should I start a new thread for that?  I have AI's suggestions but hope to get a human's perspective!

Thanks again for the help.  I'm fairly sure this issues must have started after an update on the Xfinity router.  I can't think of any other reason the phones worked and suddenly didn't.
