line trouble
I'm having my internet connection drop upwards of 5 times a day.
This has been going on for about 4 weeks and is getting worse.
I've restarted everything several times, forgotten and rejoined my wifi connection on my laptop, restarted the laptop, you name it.
It still happens.
I need a tech to come out and inspect my line outside.
How do I get that to happen?

First. As a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

OK here are some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !
