Modem needs reboot every 24-48 hours

Hello my modem stops working in the middle of the night every 24-48 hours and I end up having to reboot in the morning each time. Can this be resolved? I have checked the cables and it obviously works but I just goes out and turns red during the night. Please help!

user_tink5z Hello there, and thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Forums Community. This can definitely be frustrating if it's not auto-connecting back up. There is system update that gets done at night to be sure your services continue working optimal. Have you noticed any issues with your connection or speed during the day, or when you are trying to use your services?

No, everything is fine during the day. It’s only at night when it stops working and I have to plug and unplug it in the morning.

user_tink5z Gotcha! I'd like to take a look at your signals on our end to see if there is something that could be causing you to have to manually reboot. When you get a moment, can you please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address?

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
