Modem Router IP Address

I recently received a new router and was able to get my televisions and Amazon Alexa devices to connect to it.

I am now trying to reconnect my 5 wi-fi extenders to the new router but cannot find the login page on my PC to access the router. I have tried 192.168.188.1 and 192.168.10.1 among several others.

The closest I could get was using the IP 10.0.0.1. It gives me the page to login to my router, but it will not accept the user name and password of admin.

I tried using the name of my new Network and entered the correct password, but a pop-up shows either the user name or password are incorrect.

What IP address do I enter into my browser to access the router so I can get my extenders to connect?

admin is the default username. For the password, try the one that is written on the label on the bottom or the back of the device.

Hey @user_0fh3tw, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. Could you please provide some additional information regarding the 5 WiFi extenders? Are these offical Xfinity Pro WiFi Extenders or Xfinity WiFi Extenders? If they are official Xfinity products, you should be able to quickly and easily use the Xfinity App to associate and link the devices with the equipment. More information can be found by visiting our 'Activate or remove your WiFi Boost Pods using the Xfinity app' support page.

If these are third-party wireless extenders, we do recommend reaching out to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for assistance. Depending on the manufacturer, you may need to connect directly to the extender via Ethernet or WiFi to program the new WiFi information in? I know in the past, that was a step I had to take, but the OEM will be able to provide activation and programming instructions.

Please do not hesitate to reply to your post with the fix or any link you used to help with the pairing of the extenders and the Xfinity xFi Gateway in case any other run into the same concern.

These are third party extenders called WiFi4 (from Nettec Boost) I bought about 4 years ago and have worked until I had to change my Xfinity router.  Right now, 3 of the 5 extenders show all 4 lights on, which I assume means those are working. On the two remaining ones, I have hit the reset button on both extenders and that has not worked. On one, it lights up 3 lights (SYS, WiFi, and Power), but not the extender light. On the other one, the light for Power is on and the extender light is blinking, but the lights for SYS and WiFi are not lit.  I tried reaching out to OEM, but all I could get was a simplified set of instructions for going to the browser and entering the IP address of 192.168.188.1 directly into the URL, but that page will not load.

When I go to the network settings, I can see the names of all 5 of the extenders listed under Manage Known Networks, but there really isn't anywhere to make a change when I click on one other than a check box next to "connect automatically when in range" which is checked.

With the IP address being within a different class, you may need to look into seeing if the WiFi Extender is emitting its own wireless network to connect to, in order to program the Xfinity WiFi information. I am not locating any information on the OEMs website to provide any assistance. We recommend reaching out to them for any further support @user_0fh3tw

If you are interested, we do provide our Xfinity WiFi Extenders by clicking here. These would provide up to 500 Mbps WiFi dead zone coverage to help your devices get a faster connection. We also provide our Xfinity Pro service for $15.00 a month which provides an Xfinity Pro WiFi Extender which also features cellular back-up through Xfinity Mobile in case of service interruption. More information on our Xfinity Pro subscription can be found by visiting our 'Backup Internet, WiFi Extenders and Boost Devices' product page.
