Modem wifi not working but ethernet is fine

Using a xb8 Modem. Setup was smooth and it appears on avaliable networks but trying to connect to wi-fi immediately fails. The app says the network is working at its peak and the ethernet connection works wihtout issue. I restarted modem by app and unplugged and replugged coax and power cable dosent resolve the issue. Other post say possible problem was MAC filtering or the wireless option is switched to off. Connect to ethernet and go to admin page of modem and says wireless connection is switched on and MAC filtering is set Allow-all. So I don't know other solutions to get the wifi to work

Do you see any SSID being broadcast, either one you created or Xfinity created?  I assume you have tried being next to the router in case of poor signal strength.  My personal experience with the Xb8 is that it has very poor WiFi coverage, and also has some issues with band steering, hence I use it strictly as a modem, connected to my older router.
