Moved router in house, now it's not working.

Recently got a full PC setup, but it's located in the opposite end of the house where I originally set the router. I tried moving the router to a closer spot in the house, but all it returns is a blinking orange light. I've tried multiple spots throughout the house- including the original spot I had it in- but nothing seems to work. I'd greatly appreciate some help at least understanding all this.

You most likely do not have an active drop anywhere but where it was originally installed.

I've tried to move it back to the original spot, but the router's still not connecting to anything.

But they stated: "I've tried to move it back to the original spot, but the router's still not connecting to anything."

Hey there, @Illusionary_Paradise! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums.

As mentioned below, likely not all outlets are active within the home which the reason the other connection point was not working. But that would not prevent the modem from working at the original spot. Are you still having troubles with the modem not being online?
