Multiple Network Names

Is it possible to have multiple network names on my WiFi?   For example I could have my home devices and cell phones on one network and have my gaming system or streaming on another network?

Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out here on the community forums, user_s4zphw! If you're using an Xfinity gateway, you should be able to split the band signals to provide up to three different connections (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), depending on the model. I do this myself as some smart devices in my home won't cooperate unless I have a dedicated 2.4 GHz signal.
You can split the bands by following these steps:

  1. Open the Xfinity App on your phone and sign in with your ID and password.
  2. Tap the WiFi tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap View WiFi equipment or WiFi details.
  4. Select Edit WiFi settings.
  5. Find the Split bands toggle switch and turn it On.
  6. Rename the individual 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz bands with unique names and set separate passwords if needed.
  7. Tap Save
