My Area is basically a dead zone for Xfinitywifi (WLAN), but I have the home service

Does Xfinity as a company know its roaming wifi (WLAN) in my area is poor?  I have Xfinity service at home but my job is only like 6 minutes away from my house and I can see xfinitywifi on my laptop, but the signal is so weak, I can't connect.  Fort Myers, FL 33916, is a dead zone pretty much.  Will this ever get fixed?  I'm now thinking about getting Star-Link, just so I can get wifi on my laptop when roaming (and dropping Xfinity).

I'm not talking about Home Network (forced to select that for topic).  I'm talking about Xfinitywifi hot-spot on the go.

Hello @user_9845ac I got your DM and replied to you there. IN case you did not see it:

In terms of the XfinityWifi network those are based off of the hotspots. You may not be close enough to the one you are seeing. You can view hotspots on our map at https://www.xfinity.com/learn/mobile/network-coverage

@XfinityMatthew

Use the hotspot checker and type in this address.

3681 Michigan Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916

It's not the exact location, but in the same area (exact location is a little south).  You'll see that it's not highlighted in pink, so it's in a dead spot.  Why is the wifi coverage so spotted like that?

@user_9845ac The Xfinitywifi you are connecting to is our hotspots. These hotspots are fed from any Comcast Business or Xfinity residential customer modems that have the hotspot access enabled in their account settings. So the connection is going to vary by area and if you are not close enough to the modem feeding the hotspot signal then the connection may be poor. The Xfinitywifi option is meant as a backup for when you don't have access to normal private Wi-Fi connections or solid 5g/4g phone coverage in an area. It is not a great option if you are on the move as that usually means you are not near or moving away from the hotspot you are connecting to.
