My work VPN constently is being seen as a threat and Xfinity keeps dropping me while I work
It's only been these past few months my connection with Xfinity is not recognizing my VPN to stay connected. I now have to constantly disconnect, then reconnect my VPN. My office has installed the latest VPN version but still having same problem. I had the greatest and bestest modem from Xfinity, and was told that Xfinity is viewing my VPN as a threat so it keeps kickin me off. So I went and got the modem one grade down being told that may take care of it, but same problem. Do I need to go down to dial-up to keep a connection with my VPN? I've gone in circles after circles with troubleshooting staff at Xfinity and still no resolution. I've even been told by them that their own VPN will drop semi-often.
So Xfinity, why is this suddenly happening these last couple of month? I'm in the process of checking out other services in my area for I can't afford to keep dealing with your internet if it doesn't help me with staying connected to my job. Prior to this I never had problems staying connected all 8+ hours, now it's every 5-10 mins.
Please don't ask me to restart my computer, or my modem - those are NOT the solutions.

Hello, @user_3575a8! Thank you for taking the time to create a post with your VPN connectivity concerns, and for providing this background along with some details. You've come to the right place! Our Digital Care Team is the best at addressing issues quickly, and it would be our pleasure to help in any way we can :) By chance, have you recently reviewed these Connection Troubleshooting Tips? If not, that's always a great place to start. And if you still experience a drop in connection after making any changes suggested there, since I know the use of a VPN changes things, we'd be happy to take a closer look if necessary!
