Need new modem: Netgear CM2050V vs Motorola MT7711

I have an older Netgear modem that has reached its end-of-life. (I was notified by Netgear.) They recommend I replace it with their CMV2050V. I don't know if I need one this expensive. Would the Motorola MT7711 work as well for me? I do need the voice connection. My plan says my download speed is up to 400 Mbps and upload speed is 35 Mbps. Xfinity also recommends the Netgear one saying it is for next-gen speed tier. Both of these are at least 5 years old so if they are going to reach their end of lives too I'd rather not spend a lot on one. Thank you.

It would work, but may not work optimally. It only has 24 bonded downstream channel capability, and is DOCSIS 3.0, which is slowly being phased out.

user_199bd3 Thank you for taking the time to reach out. @EG has a good point regarding the modems. The Netgear modem is capable of the enhanced speeds, and would be the only one supported on our site here that supports voice. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
