Netgear CBR750 slows down to 1 mbps about every 3 days until I reboot

Xfinity upgraded my neighborhood late last year and doubled our download speed for free, but after that upgrade my Netgear CBR750 slows down to 1 mbps about every 3 days until I reboot.  Once reboots the speed is restored and slows down to 1 mbps again after about 3 days.  I tired rented the Xfinity modem and it works fine.  I replaced the Netgear CBR750 with the exacted model and it still have same issue.

Xfinity needs to work with Netgear for a new firmware to fix this issue.

Hi user_Bo168, thank you for reaching out, I know how important it is to get your internet service working.  I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.  I know what it's like not having my own service working. It can be a nightmare! Rest assured you've reached the right place.  I would be happy to look into this for you and I'm happy you reached out to our Digital Care team. Are you hardwired in or using WiFi?

@XfinityMikeB I'm using both hardwired and Wifi and still have the same issue.  I exchange my modem 2 times, 1st time is with the store and 2nd time is with Netgear, still the same issue.  Xfinity came out 5 times to test my wires and did not find any issues.  I also rented Xfinity modem for 1 month and have no issues.  When I installed back the Netgear CBR750 the issue came back, the bandwidth slows downs 1-2 Mbps every 3 days until I restart it.  This proves that Xfinity needs to work with Netgear to solve this issue for the CBR750.  A new firmware needs to updated to take care of this problem.  I've been using this modem for about 1 year without issues until Xfinity upgraded their networks late last year.

Exact same thing happened to me.  Ever since Xfinity ran fiber to my neighborhood.  Every 2-3 days, internet goes to a crawl (2MBPS). Upload speed is not affected.   Reboot modem and everything is fine for 2-3 more days.  Talked to Xfinity and they said I had to deal with Netgear.  This [Edit: Language].  A very expensive modem to become obsolete after less than two years.  This affects both hard wired and wireless.

@user_ed5be4  no, I gave up after the 3rd replacement and several months dealing with Xfinity and Netgear.  I returned the CBR750.  I purchased a Netgear CM1100 modem and Netgear RBR750 router.  Which is basically the same setup but without the built-in modem.  The CBR750 satellites are the same as the RBR750 satellites which is RBS750.  With this new setup, I have no issues for the past months and can reuse my RBS750 satellites.
