New Modem offer in app But current one works
Got xfinity app notification that my gateway needs to be replaced.
Checked old one with the inbuilt test in the app and it seems fine. Is there something truly wrong with it and needs to be replaced? Also, what should I do about the old one when the new one arrives?

While it's great to hear that your current Wireless Gateway is doing fine, it may just be time to upgrade your equipment in order to optimize the speeds you subscribe to. We have a few ways for you to return the old modem once the new arrives, and you've activated it, including taking it to an Xfinity Store or even using a UPS Store to get it back to us!
