Nintendo Switch cannot find network

Hello, I just bought a Nintendo Switch 2 and it has not been able to connect to the Xfinity network in my home at all since I purchased. My router is the XB6 style I believe.

The Switch 2 does not even show my network on the list of detected networks. I have tried joining manually with no luck. I have made sure it is on WPA2 security settings, even tried splitting the bands to see if that would get it to show up but no luck. I need to connect this to the WiFi to set up and right now Xfinity is completely invisible to my device.

Thanks for posting on our community forums for assistance, user_ypfubk. I'm sorry to hear the Nintendo Switch is not connecting to the network. This is not the experience we would like you to have, and we'd like to help. Is this the only device affected? Or are you able to connect to the network with other devices? Have you tried hardwiring the device to see if that makes any difference?

Hello, thank you for the reply. This Switch 2 is the only device affected. It does not even show my WiFi network as an option on the list of available networks to join, and entering the details manually does not work either. I was able to briefly get it connected by going into the admin portal 10.0.0.1 and changing the channel of my network to 36, which allowed the Switch to see and connect to the network, but Xfinity automatically reset the channel after a few minutes and the Switch disconnected. Now it will not allow me to change that any more and so the Switch can't see my network.

I have not tried hardwiring, no. I don't have an ethernet cable available at home.

Any way to fix this and allow me to change what I need to change?
