No cell calls over WiFi

My parents’ house does not get cell service. They have Xfinity wifi.

Cell calls do not go in or come out 95% of the time. But not 100% which is very confusing. Occasionally when a call is successful it just disconnects randomly after a bit.

It’s not the phone model, this is the third phone I’ve owned where this has been the case. I have phone calls set to go through WiFi correctly in my phone settings.

This same thing happens at another Xfinity house without cell service that I work at so it is definitely them.

I’ve tried all the tips I’ve found online.

I need to be at their house more often now but I cannot be there without a working phone because of my job. Please if anyone has a solution, I am desperate. Thanks

Good afternoon user_dih2ri. I can certainly understand the importance of having cell coverage while being at their home. I just want to clarify, so you are having issues with both cell phone reception, as well as WiFi calling and texting, correct? Do they have other issues with devices connecting to the WiFi within their home? Is your phone displaying their WiFi network?

I’m not sure what you’re asking.

WiFi calling with my cell phone is what I’m talking about. The five percent of time that calls come through the reception is fine until they randomly disconnect. Texting is fine.

Other cell phones have the same problem of not getting calls.

The Internet on my cell phone is fine.

There is no problem connecting to the WiFi except that it frequently drops out for several seconds.

Okay, so the issue is with the WiFi in the home dropping frequently? Is this happening on other devices, besides phones in the home?
