No Internet on Laptop

I’m trying to access the Internet on my laptop. However, it says no Internet although I have Internet on my phone and my iPad. I have been waiting for over an hour for somebody from Xfinity to call me back to try to figure out what the problem is. I just got a new modem a couple of days ago and I’ve had problems with it ever since please can somebody help me?

Thanks for connecting with us here in our community about your new modem, @user_8b61pe. We are sorry to hear you are unable to connect your laptop. If you have a connection on your phone and iPad, the issue may just be the laptop and not the modem or our service. Have you checked the network settings on your laptop to make sure they are connected to the correct network and password on the new modem?

I understnd that you need a reply.  You gave a suggestion like checking network settings but didn't give the steps on how to do this.  I normally go on a search engine type in my answer and that's how I find most solutions.  Thank you for your time, it seems to be working now but I also got a message that my laptop won't take Windows 11 also with no recommendations on what to do can't afford a new laptop.

I have the same issue. It worked fine for quite a fair amount of time and suddenly my laptop can't "see" our X1(?) modem. It can see other networks in the area just can't see ours. The WiFi hardware in the laptop checks out fine. I've restarted the modem multiple times. No luck. What's next?

Twoinch Thanks for reaching out! You may want to check to see if the network adapter is off or disabled on your laptop. Also, you may want to ensure your laptops Wi-Fi or network drivers are up to date. If all that checks out, take a look at our connection tips here: Connection Troubleshooting Tips

i am having the same issue, was chatting with the [Edited: Inflammatory] xfinity assistant for 30 min before it gave me the option of speaking to a human, i thought he fixed the problem by 'refreshing' the xfinity adapter but it only worked once, now it is back to trying to connect to internet, it is definatly better at seeing my internet , just not connecting , this started a couple of weeks ago
