Having the same trouble.   Two days on the phone, no help whatsoever, not able to talk to a human. Went to xfinity store.  They told me I had an old modem. Gave me a new one . This one can't be installed.   Number they gave me for tech support is guess what  , computer.  Will be going back to the store today. 

What a waste of my time.
