user_qtyndx - Thank you for reaching out to us here for help with troubleshooting your Xfinity Internet service. It's important to us that you're getting the best possible experience from your Xfinity Internet, and I'd be happy to help. I always recommend starting by checking for any known service interruptions in your area through the Xfinity Status Center or by texting OUT to 266278 for status updates. If no interruptions are reported, please try the following steps:
Inspect the coaxial cable connection at the back of your gateway and at the wall outlet to ensure it is secure. Unplug the gateway's power cord and wait at least 60 seconds to clear the device's memory. Plug the power cord back in and allow 10 to 12 minutes for the gateway to fully reconnect. A solid white light indicates the device is online.
If you're still experiencing issues after completing these steps, please let me know what color is the light currently showing on your gateway? We'll continue troubleshooting from there and work to get your service back up and running.
