Port Forwarding Error: Sorry, we're having some trouble gathering the list of your port forwards

I'm aware that this is an issue many others have run into in the past, however, I figured it was worth a shot to post here anyway. I'm trying to set up a server and it is using the port forwarding feature of the XB7, however, when I am opening the app I come across the following screen that says "Sorry, we’re having some trouble gathering the list of your port forwards. If the problem persists, check back later." This has now been the case for several days now.

I've tried restarting the router several times however it continues to not work. I've also made sure the disable iPv6 on my server device as well as make sure it is connected to the network and does not have a static IP.

How can I fix this so I may set up a port forward?

I have also been trying to get this to work as well. I have tried to use the app on my Android and my wife's Iphone. I even got a new modem setup after talking with Xfinity and still no success.

Hey there, @user_ajkieo Some of our newer modem models, such as the XB8 have that feature disabled and a lot of the settings inside the modem not able to be changed by design. If you want a little more access/control over your network, we would suggest utilizing customer-owned equipment to get that specific access. We have found port forwarding to cause security issues with customers' networks and have limited those options within our equipment to keep our customer's information secure. You can still utilize our modem in bridge mode and a personal router that has better port forwarding features.

@XfinityBradM

If that is the case then this article needs to be updated to reflect that port forwarding with the XB8 is no longer possible;
