ports of new modem keep dropping

I had an issue with my ports disconnecting on my modem, Xfinity sent me a new modem which works great except now I am having the same problem. The ports have ethernet connection to another router that extends to a poolhouse. I am ready to pull my hair out over this.

Mendeeee Thank you so much for using our Forums and for taking the time out of your day to write us. We are sorry to hear about the issues with the new modem and our team will do our best to get this fixed. Whenever you have another device connected via ethernet hardwired do you also experience these issues?

I'm having a very similar issue with the XB8 in bridge mode. Any port that I connect to my router will drop intermittently. This didn't happen with the older Xfinity modem that I just replaced with the XB8. At first I thought it was the port between my PC and Router, but I setup a ping script that pings my router, the Xfinity gateway, and Google. When I lose connection, I can still ping my router, but can't ping the gateway. So I think I've isolated the issue down to the XB8 being the culprit. There's something going on with port stability on those devices. The port flaps every now and then and don't know why. Xfinity/Comcast should look into this. I bet a lot of people have this issue but they just don't notice it very often because these disconnects only happen for 30 seconds or so.
