PS5 Connection Issues when using both Wifi/LAN

Connection Issues:
- connecting to game servers or ps online

- losing connection from game server mid game

- other ps online features spotty

- latency

All the above issues are occurs regardless if I'm connected via wifi or LAN.

All the above issues occur randomly.  But not simultaneously, which is super weird since all the above issues are internet based.
Then I research and troubleshoot, trying different things. Something I do fixes it, but issues returns awhile.

Tried disconnecting/reconnecting from internet.

Resetting both router and ps5 (including re-builiding database)

Tried adjusting DNS settings

Oddly, my PS5 is the only device having issues so I thought it was a playstation issue.  That is, until I connected my ps5 to my phone's hotspot and had no connection issues at all. Additionally, I used T-Mobile's home internet and had not connection issues at all.  I'm thinking this is an issue on xfinity side. I will have to switch to a different ISP if I can't get this resolved as gaming is one of my top 2 reasons for having internet.

Hello, @DLaLig thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I understand wanting to have the connectivity issues related to gaming on the PS5 investigated further, and appreciate all the detailed information that is really helpful to know what you have already done. From experience, I've worked with customers who have our Xfinity gateway and at times the advanced security feature can cause issues when gaming on a PS5.

- Do you use our gateway, if so have you tried turning off advanced security?

Customers have also let me know that splitting the bands and connecting their PS5 to the 5GHz network has helped correct issues you're describing. Have you attempted this: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security

When using our Xfinity gateway, another thing I've run across is that using Bridge Mode if you have an additional owned modem has also been helpful with getting a more solid connection when gaming with specific devices: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wireless-gateway-enable-disable-bridge-mode

Please let me know if this helpful, I can continue troubleshooting if needed.
