Routing issue

I am trying to access IP address 67.[Edited: "Personal Information"] (a Comcast supplied address) from my new XFi gateway at 98.[Edited: "Personal Information"]. The day before yesterday, it all worked perfectly.  Starting yesterday it stopped working. It does work if I access the 67… address from a different network.  I am doing this over a wireless connection in both cases.  Unfortunately I don’t currently have access to nmap at the 98… location at this time. Traceroute in the reverse direction doesn’t terminate in a reasonable time.  I don’t currently have tools at the 98… location so I am unable to try things out.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hey @user_b20112, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. What are you ultimately trying to do? The IPs should be public IP addresses with the numbers they start with. Are you attempting to gain access to a second home?

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I am trying to access between the two homes.  My confusion comes because it did work when I installed the 98 gateway and then stopped working.  In addition, it works when I try accessing from a different Xfinity network.

Thank you for this information, do you currently have advanced security turned on?
