Sign into xfinity hot spot without app or web browser.

Trying to log into xfinity hot spot with an IOT device. I can not use the app or a web page. Login will be hard coded into the software running the IOT device.  Is there a way to do this? When using my regular wifi, I enter SSID and password. I tried this with xfinity hot spot and it did not work.

user_dqpac0 Thanks for reaching out! Here is what our team found out when asking about your concern.

To access an Xfinity WiFi hotspot with an IoT device, ensure the device is WiFi-enabled and has a web browser that allows persistent cookies. Once at a hotspot location, connect to the **xfinitywifi**, **XFINITY**, or **Xfinity Mobile** SSID. If you are an Xfinity Internet customer, your device will automatically connect to hotspots after the initial sign-in. Each device must be registered independently for automatic reconnection.

As I said, the IOT device  does not have a web browser. It is controlled by a ESP32. I am programming the IOT device. I might be able to code it, if you give me details on initial sign in and registration process. Do you have a software design document that describes the process?

user_dqpac0 The Xfinity User ID would be needed to sign in to any Xfinity WiFi Hotspot. Unfortunately, we don't have a software design document that describes the process.

I am a xfinity customer with a user ID. I am looking for the actual steps when logging into the xfinitywifi hotspot. If I knew what your server asks, then I can probably program the ESP32 to respond properly. For example:

SSID

username

pw

This may be outside of the area you cover. If so can you pass it to a higher level support.

@user_dqpac0 This is not something we would be able to provide from any level of support, I sincerely apologize. This would be the only information available for connecting, you can locate it here Xfinity WiFi hotspots overview.
