slow download speeds but fast uploads

I am having issues with symmetrical internet upgrades. I received a message on 7/30/2026 stating my area will be upgraded to symmetrical internet. My internet package was automatically upgraded from 2Gbps/300Mbps to 2Gig symmetrical internet. There was a deal going on. I changed my modem out to the XB10 because it's the only one compatible with this service and since then, my download speeds have yet to hit what I'm paying for. 2 techs have came out to test my connection. The first tech verified that my signal is weak coming to my house. The second tech replaced my cable to make a direct connection to my modem without splitters. Nothing so far has made a difference. I am in shambles right now and don't know where else to go.

Good morning @F22xclusive our team would be happy to take a detailed look at your signal levels after we complete account verification.

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click "Direct Message"

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing, a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it. See the link below for an example

Do not try to send me a direct message, that won't work. You'll want to send the message to Xfinity Support @F22xclusive

  • Sign in to the Xfinity Community Forums (if you haven't already).
  • Click Direct Message.
  • Select the New Message icon (pencil and paper).
  • In the To: field, type Xfinity Support and select it from the dropdown list.
  • Enter your full name and service address along with your message.
  • Press Enter to send your message.
