Slow speeds, almost non-existent upload speeds
My Xfinity internet connection is a paid gigabit service. However, the download speeds are down around 40mbps and the upload speeds are below 1mbps. I upload files for part of my job and uploads will go so slowly that they'll regularly time out on all of my apps, even on my ethernet-connected desktop.
I have gone through the automated troubleshooting through Xfinity help chats, and they end without resolving the issue.
I use a single Comcast Gateway for my connection. I have restarted it via the app, I have unplugged the power, re-seated the coaxial cable and ethernet cable, and started it back up. The internet comes back and works, but is still those extremely low speeds.
I have had this problem before and someone on the phone had gone through about 3 different resets (or attempts) on their side and it eventually worked. However, when I try to call the Xfinity support phone system now, it gets to the point where it recognizes my account and will not take voice or dial tone input any more (despite recognizing dial tone for my phone number input to get signed into my account).
I am losing money out of my paycheck and have no way of getting help troubleshooting this without registering to get on this forum and ask for help here.
Please let me know what needs to be done to get my NORMAL service that I have paid for.
