SW Upgrade Failed after download - SW File corruption
Getting this message on my CAX80: SW Upgrade Failed after download - SW File corruption
Log notes Config file s11_m_cax80_superfast_c01.cm
this causes the router to crash, and requires at least 2 reboots (with long load times) before it comes back - and in at least one case I have to reload settings from a backup before it started working. How can I block it from attempting to update?

Xfinity say they only push firmware updates when provided by the manufacturer. It is unclear if the router is checking, and failing, or if Xfinity are pushing an update at this point.
The router is on the latest firmware already, and there is only an option to check for an update. No option on the CAX80 to not automatically check, so I have to assume it is a push. NetGear doesn't provide any information on their site about this issue. The event log isn't long enough to identify a pattern unfortunately.
The only suggestion I have is to backup your settings and to do a full reboot then restore if necessary.
