Trouble Connecting to the Internet.

I've purchased a modem to connect to the internet a couple of weeks ago. Everything is hooked up but the lights keep flashing on the modem. I've noticed the coaxial plate on my wall is loose where you screw the connector in so I assuming that can be one issue. Other than that, I'm not so sure why the light on the modem won't stay solid.

Also I'm unable to download the app on my phone or computer. Is there another way I can activate my internet connection?

For activating your Gateway.

You can use a web browser and go to xfinity.com/activate and follow the prompts for activation. 

 

For downloading the Xfinity App. 

The Xfinity app is generally compatible with iPhones running iOS 15.0 or later and Android phones running Android 7.1 or later. Are you seeing any type of errors when you try to download the app? What type at type of phone are you using?

 

For the flashing light on your Gateway.

Which light on your modem is flashing? Is it the power light?

 

For the loose wall plate.

Which part is loose, the plate itself or the where the wiring is connected?

Do you have screws on the plate that you can tighten?
