Two different networks on the same modem
With two pcs connected to the same modem with Ethernet cables one of them shows up as just network and the other one shows up as network 3 and I cannot communicate between the two

Hello user_6hvd9a. Thanks for reaching out to us for help with the connections. I'm happy to help out to help the two devices to communicate. If you are using a modem (without a built-in router/wifi connection) the issue is that the modem is not capable of being a networking device and will probably end up allowing one device internet access with the other device not being able to connect to a network. A quick way to usually tell what capabilities the modem has is if there are 4 or more ethernet connections on the modem.
Are you using a Xfinity wireless gateway or did you purchase your own modem and router?
