Unreliable network with frequent outages

We just moved to a new home in an area about 20 minutes away from our last home. In our last home, we had very reliable internet with Xfinity. However, since moving, we’re now experiencing outages at least once a week with Xfinity, sometimes multiple outages in one week.

I’ve been trying to reach someone at Xfinity who can help us with this, but I keep getting the runaround with the chat assistant and the automated phone system. It’s unbelievably frustrating how hard they’ve made it to talk to a person, much less someone who can actually help you. Does anyone have any advice? I’m hoping to reach someone who can look into the frequent outages and see if it’s an issue that’s being addressed and will be resolved or if this is just the level of service we should expect for this area.

I work from home and these constant service interruptions have impacted my work, causing me to unexpectedly drop out of meetings with senior leadership or not be able to complete critical work items. That’s unacceptable for a service we’re paying for, so I need to know if this is an issue that will be resolved or if we need to look into other providers.

First. When these outages occur, are they being officially indicated here with any info about them ?;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

Or you can use the Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

Yes, they are almost always on the outage map, the causes vary.

user_in8qh5 thanks for sharing. When the service interruptions are resolved how are your services working? Our techs are always going to upgrade the network and monitor service in the area. If we need to troubleshoot or schedule an appointment we can get that done for you.

@XfinityJosephA the service is fine when it works, but when outages are weekly and lasting for hours that’s not reliable. How can I get more information on what work is being done in my area to fix these issues long-term?
