Unstable Internet Connection - Ping Speeds Intermittently Spike

I have recently seen my internet connection become intermittently unstable.  For example, during a Teams call my voice will go in and out to the caller on the other end.  When remotely connecting to a remote virtual machine there will be a sporadic delay for a few seconds.  I have noticed that this corresponds to a sporadic high ping time to say google.com for example.  Normally, 15ms then 3000ms then back to 15ms.  When this spike occurs my connection is interrupted.  This is especially disruptive during teams calls with live voice/video.  Any thoughts would be much appreciated!  Thank you.

I been having issues with my gigx2 service for about 3-4 days, when I do speed tests on the Xfinity app (whole home test) I’m only getting 15% to 25% of my plan I pay for, spoke with numerous support agents they said they are doing work in my area and will get better over time, but my internet has been unstable as well
