Updated Modem, Stream Stopped Working

I updated my personally owned modem via the Xfinity app on Saturday to a newer model.  My internet is working fine, but the app shows “You’re Offline” on the WiFi tab and the Xfinity Stream app will not recognize that I am on my home network and has stopped working on Roku and iPhone.  Does the old modem need to be removed from my account so the Stream apps will work again?

It took multiple phone techs and ultimately a visit from a great Xfinity in-person tech to resolve but everything is now working.
