upload speeds dropping

i have tried restarting my gateway and to even unpluging my router for 10 mins and pluging it back in for some reason i have 0.8 mbps upload speeds and its at random any ideas for fixing i have xfinitys 1300mbps plan with a XB8 gateway

Good afternoon and happy New Year @AmishGuyDom! I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your upload speed and see that you have tried restarting your gateway. Are you experiencing slow speeds on all devices or a specific device? Are you using a sperate personal router in addition to your gateway?

I've been having this kind of problem for almost a month now, and I had a tech come out before the holiday break. The tech said my problem was real and that it was likely an issue with the main or between my house and the main. I was told it had to be escalated to a higher tier for the upper level techs to come fix since it didn't have anything to do with my end but their infrastructure. I have another tech coming out or did come out today (someone else is at home) who I am hoping will be that higher level tech to check and fix the issue. Ever since the strong weather that gave the area lots of snow and ice, I have had this issue. I ready to just have my internet back to full functionality and not be hampered by congestion in such a low pop area.

Working from home myself, I completely understand where you're coming from regarding needing your home network fixed and working optimally. Was the technician able to make it out as anticipated, if so were they able to help with the upload speed concern?
