VPN doesn't connect when using Xfinity wifi

I use VPN to work. Until last Friday it was working fine but suddenly it stopped working. If I use other internet provider services it works just fine but with Xfinity wifi it will simply connect and disconnect right away. I've had an Xfinity thecnician checking the router and connections in the house and nothing abnormal was found. I've checked Windows Firewall settings and no issues were found. I've talked to my VPN people and they say there's nothing wrong on their side and more than likely the issue is with internet provider. I don't know what to do. Please help!

whatever_2505 Are you paired to a hotspot or directly to the local Wi-Fi in the home? Appreciate you taking the time to reach out, and get us in the loop to help.

Hi Thomas, I appreciate your help. I'm directly connected to the local Wi-fi in the house. I pay for the basic plan with Xfinity. The router model provided has these information on the (Edited: for PII)I believe it's either a problem with this router or with the internet speed that is creating conflic with the VPN. All the other devices work well with the internet signal (TV, Cellphones, laptops) just the VPN doesn't stay connected. Thank you!

@whatever_2505 Ah it is good that everything else is working. That means the focus should be on the VPN. Xfinity customers can use any VPN they want, I use one right now to protect customer information. There are no settings to enable as we see here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-a-vpn-connection. The Xfinity VPN that is included may interfere with your work one though, and it is easy to turn off. Log in to your Xfinity app, and follow the steps below to disable the Advanced Security feature. Once that is done, try your work VPN again.

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. Select Advanced Security.
  3. Select Advanced Security under Settings.
  4. You'll see a pop-up window. Select Turn Off.

Hi Benny, turning the Advanced Security off didn't make any difference. The VPN still doesn't work :(

Hello, @whatever_2505 thank you for checking to see if turning off the advanced security would help, and I definitely want to continue investigating if you're still experiencing issues please let me know.

I appreciate all the information you have provided so far, it's helpful to know you've also checked your firewall settings, and steps you've already attempted. If you are still having issues connecting I found a similar forum post, and see one of my awesome coworkers mention that the DHCP range may need to get updated: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/i-can-no-longer-connect-to-my-works-vpn-through-xfinity/67b7691fac42bb582429cfff

Hi Justin, I still have the same issue. I appreciate your suggestion but unfortunately my knowledge about network and  computers in general is very limited. Since my VPN works with other internet providers I may just discontinue Xfinity service and hire another provider. I thank you all for the help.
