What is going on with Xfinity WiFi is bad and service is worse
I’ve had Xfinity since we moved into our new home almost 2 years ago. Up until about 6 months ago the service was always reliable and never had issues. Suddenly it started getting worse to unusable without Ethernet. We have a 4 story townhome. We use eero mesh network + and xfinity pod. The WiFi simply will not work or improve even with these extenders and devices.
Tech support offered me the Xfinity pod for free and then it would not work for the first week after multiple calls. Tech support came out and replaced the modem but said he “doesn’t support the app or setting up the pod”. Then I was charged for this “free” Xfinity pod. I continue to call support and they escalate tickets for my refund or credit and these tickets are getting auto closed sticking me with the bill for a product supposed to be free because my internet service is trash. Each time support has disconnected or hung up on me without calling back mid-support. My wife and I work from home and cannot work. Before the modem was replaced we had poor connection issues. Now we have poor connection and random drops. Xfinity pod signal is worse. WiFi unusable on 4th floor. Here again today I call for tech support to request a visit and that my WiFi is unusable - again breaks entirely during the support call! Now i have no internet when that wasn’t the case when i called. This is very disappointing. The lack of any meaningful effort or control by support and even the advanced support team is concerning. Verizon comes through here at least twice a month telling me how xfinity is going to get worse and we should switch. I’m considering it now and my Xfinity mobile service. This [Edited: Language].
