when upgrading Xfinity gateway do you need to change your WiFi network name and password
When you are just swapping out old gateway for upgraded model, do you need to use a new WiFi network name and password, or can you use your existing name and password?

On your new gateway, there will be a label on the bottom with the login information. Once you have activated the gateway, use the same login/password as your old router. Once you have done that, restart the router, and restart your devices. It is the easiest way to set up a replacement gateway.
