Why has my Internet started to drop?

Late last year the Internet kept dropping every day then it was fine for a couple of months which was unexpected with the winter storms

Now that it's sunny and nice I've been losing service at least once a day as have my neighbors

Use the app and it says 'outage reported' and then an hour or so later it's back but I have to reboot the modem

Or sometimes it's just a glitch and comes back after a few minutes

Why is it so unreliable after working so well?
