Why is my internet speed going up and down?

For the past several days my internet speed has been going up and down. One minute it is >800 and the next minute it is <10. I’ve done troubleshooting with the Xfinity app and it keeps telling me that nothing is wrong. How can we fix this problem?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I have experienced the same thing over the past year and I am in Minnesota. I am working with level 3 support. Sunday on wireless I was hitting 1.5g bps wireless and today its down to 400Mbps. So I feel you but I am lucky to be working with level 3 tech support.
