WiFi Boost Pod or Similar Device for Extending / Strengthening xfinitywifi Connection?
Hi all, have a computer I use at my mother-in-law's apartment in Ocean City, NJ set up to access one of the free xfinitywifi networks. Signal is weak, maybe two bars. Usually connects ok and speed is acceptable. However sometimes the PC (Windows 10) sees the network but can't connect, other times it can't see the network at all. I bought and tried an Xfinity WiFi Boost Pod but since I don't have physical access to the source router (located somewhere in the apartment complex), it would not work. The PC is a laptop using a Netgear USB dongle, forget the actual model, don't have the computer near me right now. Is there anything I can do to make this connection more reliable? Speed isn't really an issue, just need it for light web browsing, nothing that significant. Thanks!

Hey there, user_kja29, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your Wi-Fi hotspot connection. We do not have anything specifically for boosting hotspots. You could try moving your device to a different location in your home to see if that helps. Otherwise, we have our NOW Internet service that you could set up in your mother-in-law's house for $30 a month to receive internet services internally. Here is a link with the details, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/now-internet-overview.
