Wi-Fi drops every 15 to 30 minutes

For the past week or so, my Wi-Fi freezes or drops every 15 to 30 minutes. I work from home at times, and even just gaming or using social media, it’s incredibly frustrating. I restarted my modem several times. I’ve done the bot chat with Xfinity, which did not help. I’ve checked all my connections, etc. I need help!

As a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

Were you able to check the connection with an ethernet cable so we can isolate the problem as @EG suggested or do you only have devices that use WiFi?
