Worse WiFi issues after tech came out

Hello,

I had an Xfinity Tech come out recently and ever since they had come out I have been noticing a second WiFi connection under the same name as my own, one of them does not allow me to connect at all and the second one attempts to connect, but fails due to weak signal. When the tech was here it seemed they had set up the WiFi again as I was receiving notifications through the app that my WiFi name was changed to the same exact name I had set it up to before. When I check in the app I notice several different WiFi band options under the same WiFi name which I don't recall seeing before. I don't know what exactly he did, but I am beyond frustrated as my WiFi seems to be having more issues than it did prior to the appointment, I can't even connect some of my devices now which were connecting just fine prior. I should not be expected to pay for WiFi that is not working for me and for something that is no fault of my own I really need this to be working properly and I am just so tired of techs coming out and seemingly making things worse.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello, user_kpd8aw! We are happy to further help with your service and want that to work flawlessly! I know this seems like a simple step but can help in this type of situation, have you restarted the modem?

On one of your devices, have you tried to forget the WiFi network name and password, restart the device, then connect again?

@XfinityRay Hi! I did try all of that on several occasions, thankfully someone had come out and resolved the multiple WiFi networks appearing and now I am able to connect the devices again, I appreciate the response.

Check out this thread, and see whether it applies. You might find a better solution (or possibly the same you mention later).
