X300 service UNLIMITED data?

Signed up for this a week ago.

Had problems getting 300 Mbps upload speeds so finally picked up an XB8 gateway and got that working, now getting the speeds.

But on my account page and on the Xfinity app, it shows the 1229 GB limit.

In chat, the agent assured me that I have unlimited data and the the app will update to reflect that.

Has anyone gotten warned or charged for going over the limit on an XFi service?  Supposedly Comcast is scrapping data caps but I guess we'll have to see it to believe it.

Good evening @user_898j1p, and thanks for reaching out to us with your question. If you signed up for one of our new Next Gen plans, your data is unlimited. If you're not 100% sure, send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, and we can check for you.

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

Definitely respond to that request to send a Direct Message. While it is true that the new plans, and especially the X-Class plans, include unlimited data, there have been several reports of the unlimited data “flag” (for lack of a better way to describe it) not being enabled when the plan changed. This will result in you being billed for the overage, thus forcing you to reach out to support for a credit. You’d be better served by addressing it now, rather than after you’ve been billed for it.

What do you mean by Direct Message?

Do you mean chat when logged into your Xfinity account?

OR some feature on these support forums?
