Xb10 Availability and Mid Splits

For the last three weeks I have suffering slow speeds interrupted service etc. I work from home hence I have the Gig speed and it has been slowing to a crawl which in turn affects my job. I understand by driving around that they are prepping our area to compete with the new Fiber Optic network Lumen technologies recently activated as I have seen one of the big white nodes. down the road. So, it is obvious. I went to my locally owned Xfinity store and the kid there was talking about an XB7 combo and had no clue about the existence of an XB10. So, I called and spoke to one of the people in the Philippines who earns $10 a day at a call center, and they were completely lost. As I also had a problem with my Storm Ready Wi-Fi which has never really worked, and I was told to take it to a store where I had been, and they told me to call!! So what gives on the XB10 upgrades and the Mid splits as I have equipment which supports WIFI 7 as does lumen so what gives Comcast? So, with customer support like that who needs enemies attacking the networks as Xfinity is sinking it themselves.

Bueller, Bueller. Anyone? It is very sad when you pay a premium price for just highspeed internet with Xfinity and you ask questions on a corporate support site and can't get an answer from corporate support :( Tis just a look at the future. For $150 I can get 8Gig up Symmetrical from Quantum Fiber. as opposed to the $110 I pay for Xfinity. Sadly, I have the Internet and alarm package with cameras that are over 15years old and there are no improved cameras coming within sight from Xfinity and seeing as I own the equipment I have to save to by better cameras so I can move to quantum fiber and Arlo home security services which are far better than Xfinity and the package for 2k cameras, a wireless doorbell camera and a full alarm system with cell and battery backup for a little less than all the Xfinity Home equipment and i will get better resolution on the newer cameras.

Our XB10 will be available later this year it's our next generation of Gateways. It will include Wi-Fi 7, and AI technologies. The XB10 will be capable of delivering symmetrical multi-gig speeds over Wi-Fi and connect up to 300 devices.  More to come later this year.

What speeds are you getting?

Can you run a speed test using https://speedtest.xfinity.com/

This site will link your speedtest to your account. 

Are you experiencing slow speeds on Wi-Fi or devices that're connected via Ethernet?

@Aceq2jot​ Over the past 15 years, there have been 6 generations of XH cameras, plus the new video doorbell. See your local Xfinity to learn about the options available to you.

The XB10 isn’t released to the public yet, and will also rely on upgrades to your local network to achieve symmetrical speeds.

@XfinityKei​ does later this year mean December or do you think sometime this month they will start sending the XB10 product out I've heard some areas may have it already? fingers crossed for some good news soon

We appreciate your interest in our XB10 gateway but unfortunately, we don't have a detailed timeline of when it will be rolled out to the public quite yet, just that it is expected to be released later this year. Currently, our XB10 gateway is not available to the public either in stores or via shipping. Hopefully, we have more information soon, so please don't hesitate to check back with us later to see if we have any new information to share. Who needs this the xb8 still.

has issues and most items

don't utilize it so why upgrade again. Several Xfinity reps said this is all gimic

and these high speeds do nothing and when I want to gig had more issues upgrading then I had with slower speed. With high rates Xfinity is just going down.

Hey there Dancer79, I'd love a chance to work with you and help turn things around. Let's first get on the same page. Are you seeing slow speeds on all of your devices? Also, are you using a standalone/personal router along with your modem or Xfinity gateway?

I needs me XB 10 hello we are nearing the last 1/4 of the [Edited: "Language"] year. Who can actually speak to the right people in the right dept. out of this huge company...who are in charge to get some info?

They aren't due to the the public until next year, and they won't function until the changes to a FDX network design happen.

timc1475 As mentioned earlier in this tread, we don't have any exact date we can provide on the release. At this time the most information we have states later this year, but other than that statement we have no other informaiton we can provide to a more exact timeframe.
